Synopsis

Softball With A Curve

This family friendly “Bend it like Beckham” meets “Bad News Bears” comedy is filled with memorable characters and powerfully emotive heart-warming moments.
It’s a beautiful picture perfect spring day in the rural town of Mission Oaks, California. But this isn’t just any day…it’s softball evaluations day!! Softball fields are alive with excitement and critique. On this day the sounds of the nearby crashing waves give way to the cracking of a bat against a ball. A day set aside for every young girl who’s ever hoped to play on a team. This day was not about to be missed by ten-year-old Stephanie Taylor.

Stephanie has a plan that, in the beginning, has much less to do with softball and much more to do with father-daughter time. Richard Taylor is a hard driving baseball coach who’s led Stephanie’s older brother, Jonathan to multiple Little-League championships. Unfortunately, he’s not interested in coaching a bunch of squirrelly, ballerina twirling, overly emotional “girls”. Just when it seems her plan is doomed to failure, forcing her to live forever under the shadow of her brother, a series of hilarious circumstances occur changing her relationship with the game and her father forever.

Initially, Richard refuses to coach his daughter’s team of misfits, which forces Stephanie’s mom to step up and fill the void! Although it’s not pretty – it is funny. When her dad finally does come to the rescue, Stephanie’s dream suddenly becomes a nightmare.

Seasoned with a real spirit for the game, FAST PITCH is destined to be a favorite movie for any girl that has ever put a glove on her hand or hopes to. It’s sure to win the hearts of anyone who loves a great story.
