Out of Bounds

Television Series: Dramatic Episodic / Modern Day

Synopsis

Playing By The Rules Is Easier Said Than Done

Football, bright lights and a loving family are the norm for Cougars’ high school coach, Sean Marks. That’s about to change as life spins out of bounds in this edgy, hard hitting The CW network type dramatic episodic.

The football season begins with a unique new group of willing, but inexperienced players. Help arrives in the form of Tim Bolan, a talented, young, pass receiver. A determined Sean along with close friend Joe “Black Out” Carter knows what it takes to win. Coming off a loss at last year’s State Championship, there’s something more to prove. There’ll be no shortage of high-impact, adrenaline-pumping, game night excitement.

At home, all that appears well couldn’t be worse. Wife and mother, Jill Marks, has battled with severe depression for years. An attempted suicide eight years prior was thought to be resolved and in the past. However, a mid-day request for Coach Sean to come home proves that assumption premature. Jill is saved but disappears leaving Sean to reason through the wreckage. He finds the balance between head coach and head of household to be more challenging than he anticipated.

When times get tough, Coach Sean can always rely on his 15-year-old daughter, Ashley, for some solid advice, especially when it comes to sports. They agree on many things, when she can start dating is not one of them. Tyler, Sean’s 16-year-old son, is the oil to Ashley’s water. He sees life differently than most. Closest to his mother, Tyler struggles in his relationship with his father. Sean worries that Tyler may be too much like Jill. Heather, the eldest child, was about to leave for college. Like everything else, those plans have changed. Now the self-imposed weight of playing “Super-Pseudo-Mom” has serious side affects. At the end of the day, love and commitment is the game plan… on the playing field and the home front.
